Join us for an exciting Northern Lights hunting experience in Lapland. We will travel in search of the best available conditions, following weather forecasts, cloud cover and auroral activity throughout the evening.
Our guide monitors the conditions in real time and adapts the route when necessary, giving us the flexibility to search for clearer skies and better locations.
Travel in a small group of up to 8 guests, enjoy the peaceful Arctic landscapes, warm drinks and a sandwich along the way, and let us capture the experience with high-quality night photographs included in the tour.
We will also help you adjust your smartphone camera settings for Northern Lights photography, and tripods will be available so you can try to capture your own photos of the Arctic night.

Itinerary

Your Northern Lights experience begins with pickup in the Rovaniemi area. Before departure and throughout the tour, our guide monitors weather conditions, cloud cover and auroral activity to determine the most suitable direction and locations for the night.
This is an active Northern Lights search. The experience can last up to 5 hours and cover up to 250 km, giving us the flexibility to travel farther when conditions make it necessary. The route is decided according to the conditions of each night and may change during the experience.
We leave the city lights behind and travel in search of clearer skies. When we find suitable conditions, we stop in a safe location to observe the Arctic sky and the Northern Lights.
During the experience, our guide will take high-quality night photographs and will also help you adjust your smartphone camera settings. Tripods are available for guests who want to take their own photos.
During the evening, we will enjoy a sandwich and hot drinks while experiencing the peaceful atmosphere of the Arctic night.
At the end of the experience, we return to the Rovaniemi area.

  • Each group has a maximum of 8 participants. When demand and operational availability allow, more than one small group may operate on the same date.
  • Bookings close 10 hours before the scheduled starting time.
  • The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon. During each experience, we actively search for the best available conditions, monitoring weather forecasts, cloud cover and auroral activity to maximize the chances of seeing the Northern Lights.
  • The experience can last up to 5 hours and cover up to 250 km, depending on the conditions of the night.
  • The route is flexible and may change during the experience as we search for clearer skies and better viewing conditions.
  • Please wear appropriate winter clothing and footwear, as we may spend extended periods outdoors.
  • Please inform us in advance about any food allergies, intolerances or special dietary requirements.
  • Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • If weather or safety conditions prevent us from operating the experience, we will offer an alternative date whenever possible. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the experience starts: 100% refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the experience starts: non-refundable.
  • If Lapland Fox Tours cancels the experience due to weather, safety conditions or circumstances affecting the operation, we will offer an alternative date whenever possible. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
