Itinerary
Begin your Arctic adventure with an exciting snowmobile experience, travelling through snowy landscapes and discovering the thrill of one of Lapland’s most iconic winter activities.
After receiving the necessary safety instructions and driving guidance, set off on an approximately 1-hour snowmobile ride. Snowmobiles are shared by two participants, while children travel comfortably in a heated sled pulled by the guide’s snowmobile.
After the daytime adventure, enjoy some time to rest before heading back out into the Arctic night.
In the evening, begin your first Northern Lights Hunting experience. We will monitor weather forecasts, cloud cover and auroral activity in real time, adapting our route in search of the best available conditions.
During the Northern Lights adventure, enjoy a sandwich and hot drinks, while digital photographs capture special moments from your first night beneath the Arctic sky.
Travel through the winter landscapes of Lapland towards Korouoma Canyon, where a day of Arctic nature and adventure awaits.
Begin the winter hike through the canyon, following snowy trails surrounded by forests, dramatic cliffs and impressive frozen waterfalls.
Discover the spectacular ice formations and frozen scenery along the route, with time to enjoy the surroundings and capture memorable photographs.
After completing the hike, relax around the fire and enjoy an outdoor BBQ with smoked salmon, grilled sausages and hot drinks surrounded by Arctic nature.
After returning to Rovaniemi and taking some time to rest, prepare for another adventure beneath the northern sky.
Head out on your second Northern Lights Hunting experience. Whether the first night brought a spectacular display or more subtle activity, we will search again, following weather, cloud cover and auroral conditions to find the best available conditions for the night.
Enjoy a sandwich and hot drinks during the hunt, with digital photographs included to capture the experience.
Head into the peaceful Arctic wilderness for a day combining two traditional ways of experiencing winter in Lapland.

Infants aged 0–2 participate at no cost, but they do not count toward the minimum number of paying participants required.
The two Northern Lights Hunting experiences will be scheduled on the nights offering the best expected conditions during the three-day program. For this reason, they may take place on different nights from those initially indicated in the itinerary.
For the Northern Lights experiences, our team will monitor weather forecasts, cloud cover and auroral activity, adapting the route and observation locations in search of the best possible conditions during each experience.
To drive a snowmobile, participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driving licence.
The program price includes the snowmobile experience on a shared basis, with two participants per snowmobile.
Children travel in a heated sled pulled by the guide’s snowmobile during the snowmobile experience.
The order and timing of the activities may be adjusted when weather, operational or safety conditions require it.
Winter clothing is provided during the activities included in the program. However, participants should bring suitable personal clothing for Lapland’s winter conditions and low temperatures.
Participants must inform us in advance of any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Cancellations made 5 days or more before the start of the program: 100% refund.
Cancellations made between 4 and 2 days before the start of the program: 80% refund.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start of the program: non-refundable.
If Lapland Fox Tours cancels the program due to weather, safety conditions or circumstances affecting the operation of the program, we will offer alternative dates whenever possible. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
