During the experience, you will have the opportunity to feed the reindeer and enjoy a short reindeer sleigh ride, experiencing a traditional way of travelling through the Arctic landscape.

Itinerary

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Your experience begins with pickup in the Rovaniemi area and a drive to a traditional reindeer farm surrounded by the peaceful landscapes of Lapland.

Once at the farm, you will meet the reindeer up close and learn more about these iconic Arctic animals, their characteristics, care and importance in northern life and culture. You will also have the opportunity to feed the reindeer, interact with them and take photographs.

During the snowy season, and when conditions allow, the experience also includes a short reindeer sleigh ride, offering you the chance to enjoy one of Lapland’s most traditional winter experiences.

Throughout the visit, there will be time to enjoy the surroundings, take photographs and experience the peaceful atmosphere of the reindeer farm.

At the end of the experience, we will begin the journey back and drop you off at your pickup point in the Rovaniemi area.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Bookings are accepted from 1 participant.
Each group has a maximum of 8 participants. When demand and operational availability allow, more than one small group may operate on the same date.
Bookings close 10 hours before the scheduled starting time.
The reindeer farm visit and the opportunity to meet the reindeer are available throughout the season.
The reindeer sleigh ride is subject to suitable snow conditions and normally becomes available between mid-November and early December, depending on the conditions of each season.
When snow conditions allow the sleigh ride to operate, the experience includes a ride of approximately 500 metres.
If snow conditions do not yet allow the sleigh ride to operate, the experience will focus on the reindeer farm visit and the activities available at the farm at that time.
When the sleigh ride takes place, participants may receive a symbolic “Reindeer Driving License” as a souvenir of the experience. This is a commemorative certificate and not an official driving licence or accreditation.
The experience may be adapted according to weather, snow conditions and the operational conditions of the reindeer farm.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
In exceptional circumstances where weather or safety conditions prevent the experience from operating, Lapland Fox Tours will prioritize offering an alternative date. If rescheduling is not possible, a 100% refund of the amount paid will be provided.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the experience starts: 100% refund.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the experience starts: non-refundable.
If Lapland Fox Tours cancels the experience due to weather, safety conditions or circumstances affecting the operation, we will offer an alternative date whenever possible. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
