Enjoy a winter adventure combining two traditional Lapland experiences surrounded by beautiful Arctic nature. Explore peaceful snow-covered landscapes on snowshoes before heading to a frozen lake to experience the traditional activity of ice fishing.

Learn the basic techniques of ice fishing, drill a hole through the ice and try your luck beneath the frozen surface. A wonderful combination of outdoor adventure, Arctic landscapes and authentic winter traditions in Finnish Lapland.

Itinerary

YOUR EXPERIENCE

Your experience begins with pickup in the Rovaniemi area, followed by a drive to a carefully selected natural location where your Arctic adventure will begin.

We will start with snowshoeing through peaceful snow-covered landscapes. After a brief introduction to the equipment, your guide will lead you through the snowy surroundings, allowing you to enjoy Arctic nature and experience a traditional way of moving across deep snow.

We will then continue to a frozen lake for the ice fishing experience. Your guide will show you how to safely drill a hole through the ice, prepare the fishing equipment and introduce you to the basic techniques of traditional Finnish ice fishing. Then it will be your turn to try your luck beneath the frozen surface.

During the experience, we will enjoy an outdoor BBQ with grilled sausages and hot drinks, surrounded by the peaceful Arctic landscape — a perfect moment to warm up, relax and enjoy the winter atmosphere.

At the end of the adventure, we will begin our journey back and return participants to their respective pickup points in the Rovaniemi area.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Bookings are accepted from 1 participant.
Each group has a maximum of 8 participants. When demand and operational availability allow, more than one small group may operate on the same date.
Bookings close 10 hours before the scheduled starting time.
No previous experience with snowshoeing or ice fishing is required. Your guide will provide instructions and the necessary equipment.
The experience takes place outdoors in winter conditions. Please wear warm layers under the provided thermal clothing.
Ice fishing takes place only when ice conditions are considered safe for the activity.
The route and location may change according to weather, snow and ice conditions.
Please inform us in advance about any food allergies, intolerances or special dietary requirements.
Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
If weather, ice or safety conditions prevent us from operating the experience, we will offer an alternative date whenever possible. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the experience starts: 100% refund.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the experience starts: non-refundable.
If Lapland Fox Tours cancels the experience due to weather, safety conditions or circumstances affecting the operation, we will offer an alternative date whenever possible. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
